The Blind Side

Haven't posted in a few days, been busy with exams and homework...Anyway i got my next two films from LoveFilm, one of which was "The Blind Side", i watched this on thursday night. I really enjoyed it! It's a true story about how a guy from a poor part of america is taken in by a rich american family and goes on to become an american football star. It was pretty emotional and i would definately watch it again.

Lana Del Rey - Born To Die

I'm loving this new artist at the moment, she has a really mesmerising voice, and it is a little different to your standard mainstream music, Lana Del Rey - Born To Die. I heard an amazing remix of this song earlier today as well, Gemini Remix, this really adds something to an already beautiful song.

Just Jack - Embers

I can't stop listening to this song today - love Just Jack - Embers, it really gets in your head. There are some lovely remixes of it - i particularly like this one - Phillip Martell Remix.

Asher Roth - Common Knowledge

I love the chilled out vibe of this song, the tune is really relaxing. Asher Roth - Common Knowledge is definately a good song to listen to if you're stressed out.

OneRepublic - Say (All I Need)

I haven't heard that much of OneRepublic up until recently when a friend suggested a few songs for me to listen to. OneRepublic - Say (All I Need) has amazing lyrics - about how constantly trying to keep up with the people you view as where you should be at is pretty futile. I love the voice of the lead singer - Ryan Tedder. Another of their songs which is definately worth looking up is OneRepublic - All The Right Moves.

Submarine

I have just finished watching Submarine, and i really enjoyed it. Pretty slow going but funny all the same. Loved the welsh accents and of course the brilliant soundtrack by Alex Turner. Definately worth watching again, what a beautiful film.

Maverick Sabre - Let Me Go

This song was released a while back when Maverick Sabre was relatively unheard of, from the moment i first heard it i loved his unique voice. Maverick Sabre - Let Me Go is still my favourite song of his to date, the drop on it is awesome. His more recent song - I Need - didn't have such an immediate affect on me, never the less it is a brilliant song - the melodic voice has echoes of James Blake in it.

Kanye West Ft. Dwele

This song has to be one of my favourite feel good songs - really great revision motivation. Power - Kanye West ft. Dwele it makes me want to move and dance - if you haven't heard this song before check it out!!

Limitless

Recently I signed up for the film rental site Love Film, and my first two films arrived in the post today - they were 'Limitless' and 'Submarine' - neither of which i had seen before. I choose them because they both have incredible adverts which just made me want to see them. I watched Limitless this evening - it is definately worth watching! Reminded me slightly of 'Inception' and 'The Adjustment Bureau' because it has a slightly mind-boggling concept to it that takes you a while to get your head around. I think i will have to watch it again to completely understand it.

Jason Mraz - I Won't Give Up

I think this has to be one of the most beautiful songs i have heard for a long time! I Won't Give Up - Jason Mraz is simple and sweet, i'm so glad he is making new music again. thank you to my friend who sent me a link to this song thinking i would enjoy listening to it - he was definately right. I can't wait for Jason Mraz's new album to be released - hoping it is soon!!

Space Bound - Eminem

This song was released a few years back on Eminem's Recovery album, it is my favourite song off of it. I love the slow build up and the lyrics... Space Bound - Eminem

Jamie N Commons

This song was recomended to me by a close friend - Jamie N Commons - The Preacher. I listened to it and wow! - what a beautiful voice. Definately worth checking out. I will do some background work on him ASAP.

First Ever Post - Emeli Sande

As my first ever blog post i thought i would tell you bout a new artist that is tipped for big things in the coming year. I first heard Emeli Sande's enchanting voice on the track Let Go by Tinie Tempah Ft. Emeli Sande since then she has gone on to achieve a number 2 single with "Heaven". On November the 27th she relesed the single Daddy Ft. Naughty Boy, it is now available on itunes for free, as their single of the week. I think big things are coming for this 23 year old Aberdeen born singer.
